CD Reviews

Real black metal
Megasin | nowhere | 04/24/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"One of the best releases out of cold Scandinavia. Forget the hollywood [stuff] like old man's/dimmu or even Satyricon, they're just out there for fame and cash. Listen to one of the truly dedicated and otherworldly black metal band still around today- Mysticum ! Once I put this disc in my cd player, I knew why this band is pure kult. Euronymous didn't think twice before deciding to take Mysticum under the wings of DeathLikeSilence productions but unfortunately things happened and this album was on ice until properly released by FMP in 96". Cold, lifeless, disturbing and deadly. ....

A Must-Have For Black Metal Fans with an Industrial Edge!
Megasin | 09/10/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Of all the Black Metal bands I have listened to, Mysticum still remain one of the most original. They combine raw Northern Black Metal style with industrial beats. A trio, they have no drummer.. Instead they prefer the lifeless beats and timing of a high-tech drum machine. Very fast in spots, but yet most every song has a change of pace where it is needed. A couple of songs get a bit monotonous in spots but the overall quality of the album makes up for it. As far as the band's integrity in the scene, they are as true to the music as any band in Black Metal. Get this one today.. you won't be disappointed!!!"
Black Metal Masters
Richard L. Neva | Norwich, NY | 11/11/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is the album that all other black metal music is gaged by. The incessant drumming hammers a stairway to hell for the listner and these masters of mayhem hammer home the satanic theme songs for all eternity. You will never stop listening to this masterpiece believe me! It rules!"
