This remixed "best of" set collects 10 years' worth of Revealers hit singles, like the brotherhood fantasy "Better Way," making a good case for the proposition that Jamaican TV soap star and lead vocalist Billy Mystic is among the more talented of the hoards of reggae saviors that sprang up in the wake of Bob Marley's 1984 demise. That the Revealers are about serious business is made clear from the liner notes' mission statement. But this set doesn't just function as a superheated, self-important "voice for the slaved and those still suffering." Songs like "Simple Living" counter the group's tendency to missionary excess by tackling more personal--and humble--themes.
