A Breath of Fresh Air

"In a time in which it seems that all female rappers have to talk about is how they are bi#$hes trying to be with a guy because of what's in his wallet, Mystic's vibe is welcomed with open arms. While her ability to write, rap, and sing well takes one back to Lauryn Hill's debut solo album, Mystic has a style all her own. It is evident from, not only her words but how she brings them across, that she has lived the stories she tells. Her style is one that indicates she's been educated not only by books, but also by the streets. This whole CD is absolutely wonderful. However, tracks that stood out to me were: The Life (a celebration of life, even if it isn't perfect), W (makes you want to go to California and kick it for a while!), Girlfriend, Sistergirl (ah, we never tire of the classic theme of a woman reminding her girlfriend she is to precious to let men take advantage of her), Fatherless Child (and yet another theme that never seems to grow old: she overcomes the hardships of a single-parent childhood to become great), Spoken Piece (you need to listen to it to truly appreciate it), and Destiny Complete (makes you wanna throw your hands up and dance!).Mystic is definitely one of the best female rappers to come out in a while. Her CD flows seemlessly. If you're tired of hearing women brag about degrading themselves and long for something more, this CD is for you."

"I am not a big fan of "Hip Hop Rap" at all, but saw this Group
On Tv's Late Late Show performing "The Life". I think they have a Great Beat..and
the Vocals are Superb! It's more then just rapping!
Disregard the explicit Lyrics...and Buy It you'll Love it!!"
