Ten CDs of Magical "Musik"

"This ten CD boxed set contains the first batch of releases in DG's "Musik...Sprache der Welt" series. Aside from a flimsy paperboard box/container and a booklet featuring an essay on DG's post-WWII recording activities, the packaging is identical to the single disc releases. I have reviewed eight of the ten individual titles included in this collection:

Bohm - Beethoven Syms 5 & 7

Bohm - Brahms Sym 2 / Reger

Furtwangler - Schumann / Haydn

Jochum - Bruckner Sym 9

Jochum - Mozart Syms 33, 36 & 39

Markevitch - Berlioz / Bizet

Markevitch - Schubert Syms 3 & 4
