This album is a gorgeous blend of world jazz that never bottoms out. Every phrase is executed with a flawless integration of technical prowress and emotional integrity. The few cover songs on Balance are well done, but my favorite work on the album is the original music. The progressions, dynamics, and subtle nuances of these seasoned musicians creates an atmosphere that is both soothing and uplifting. I find that I can listen to Balance with a technical ear or just sit back and let it be musical wallpaper. Either way, Mosaic's Balance is a welcome addition to my collection (though it hasn't seen the outside of my CD player for a while)."
