CD ReviewsThe live tracks more than make up for the rest! 11/04/2002 (4 out of 5 stars) "The live tracks from Montreux have a great energy, driving rhythm and include some great material. I have the live Mongo at Montreux on vinyl and waited for years for it to come on CD. The studio Mongo '70 half of this CD is disappointing, having too much polish and too little energy and excitement. The live half more than makes up for it, though. While perhaps not his most consistent overall album, the best tracks are really great."
