"Mommy and Daddy are a good looking, hip couple. It may not be important to the music, per se, but it really makes sense. Their music is exactly the type that you'd imagine hip, attractive youths would be dancing to. The bass is very groovy and fuzzed out, the keyboards are infectious, the trading of boy/girl vocals are striking and the electro drum loops encourage gyrations of the highest degree. Songs like "Pretty Loser" and "Cops" are what good dance parties are founded on. With good production backing it up and clocking in at a satisfying duration, the only problem with Duel At Dawn is that you'll have to supply the living room full of people yourself.

"This band (well, all this noise is made by only TWO adorable people in love) is hot and their music makes me dance in my car like I'm on fire. Which is a good thing.

They put all the duo bands to shame. When comparing them to the Kills, MOMMY AND DADDY wipe the floor with those rich, spoiled brats.

The video for FRANCONIA ROAD wasn't included on the cd though and I'm not happy about that because MOMMY looks stunning!! DADDY looks scary-evil in it, as usual.

DUEL AT DAWN is more mature than Fighting Style and more complex than Live How You Listen. It ROCKS. Buy this, you won't be disappointed!!"

"These two are great...thats the only way to put it. Not only are these two great, but in a world of huge amps, immaculate drum kits, and super expensive equipment they stick out with simply a bass guitar, MC505 beatbox and voices. I live in the wasteland that is South Dakota so we really dont get any decent shows around here, so when mommy and daddy showed up it was a riot to say the least. Check em out for sure."
