CD Reviews

Absolutely horrible!
Rick Schilling | Denver, Colorado United States | 02/05/2005
(1 out of 5 stars)

"Anyone who writes that this is a good album obviously was not around when the original versions were made by the ORIGINAL members of the band. This is trash, pure and simple. It is also just a shameless ploy to try and wring more money out of people that are too stupid to realize that they are being taken. Don't buy this album!!!"
Waste of studio time
Curtis Garrison | Salem, NJ United States | 01/28/2004
(2 out of 5 stars)

"Economy recording to fulfill a contract. These songs lack the power of the originals, but again, this AIN'T Molly Hatchet! I know Ingram own's the name, but that doesn't make him Dave Hlubek. This band has three excellent albums of their own and should stick to their material."
New Insights With A New Lineup
Rick Schilling | 01/01/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Most hardcore Molly Hatchet fans, as well as people who take pride in having a neat living space, are probably going to consider this little more than an unnecessary item to provide unneeded clutter. Nothing could be further from the truth. 25TH ANNIVERSAY: BEST OF RE-RECORDED is one of those rare cases where re-recorded songs by an established band's current lineup not only averts disaster, but provides new insights into the meanings of the songs themselves. There are a couple of new songs here to give some idea of where the band has been and may be going, and longtime members Bobby Ingram and John Galvin, both of whom worked on ex-Hatchet singer Danny Joe Brown's solo albums before joining Hatchet, provide a sense of continuity. Get this one along with SILENT REIGN OF HEROES, KINGDOM OF XII, and LOCKED AND LOADED."
