Cited as one of psychedelia's finest bands, The Misunderstood originated from California and were discovered by a young John Peel.The first of these two albums, "The Legendary Gold Star Album", was produced by John Peel himself and offers a fascinating glimpse of the band as they wholeheartedly embraced the psychedelic culture. The second, "Golden Glass" is a later album when Glen Campbell decided to refloat the band.

"The ORIGINATORS of psychedelic - before Hendrix, Pink Floyd, you name it. Circumstances (i.e., VietNam) prevailed against their commercial success just as they were on the cusp, but that doesn't change what they created before they were destroyed by the need to feed the killing machine. This is a transitional album, primarily showcasing their blues heritage just prior to moving to England and recording their ensuing full-scale metamorphosis into amazing creators/explorers of psychedelia. If you're into it, this is a "must-have"!"
