"while mina has yet to create a record that reflects the joy and madness of a live performance, this is one sweet record ... and may tide you over 'til she gets back to the states. personally, i think she could do for music what hendrix did: reinvent an instrument, rework a form and breakdown walls ... yeah, she's that good. in this case, of course it's her voice ... it's "jazz" (whatever that is) and it's all the little boxes that the marketing idiots have decided music should some how fit within.

this is music that is at once sophisticated, primal, sensuous and avant guarde ...

if you want to hear the future, buy this."
