"1956 must have been the best year ever for jazz albums, when you consider that the Miles Davis band put out a string of great albums (Cookin', Steamin' etc.), that Sonny Rollins came out with Saxophone Colossus and Tenor Madness, Thelonious Monk had Brilliant Corners, not to mention Ellington at Newport. So maybe this one is not quite as famous, but this band which featured the following: Lucky Thompson, tenor sax; Hank Jones, piano; Wendell Marshall; bass, Kenny Clarke, drums; Jackson, vibes played some great music with showers of notes sparkling off Jackson's vibraphone. It is well recorded, sounds great, and if you like the sound of Milt Jackson, then this album is a great starting place. I have listed to it for years and I still love it."
