"After hearing Miles Stiebel play at the legendary Blues Alley in Georgetown, I just had to buy his CD. Miles and his band have put together an incredibly beautiful, creative, sophisticated and fun collection of songs. Miles' ranges from smooth and sultry to artistically classical and back to fun festive rhythmic jazz. After downloading it from iTunes, I just had to buy a few CD's to share with my friends. The interplay between violin, guitar, piano and percussion is outstanding. These guys are really tight and a delight to hear. I've always liked jazz violin since hearing Jean Luc Ponty and Regina Carter work their magic. Miles takes jazz violin to the next level with No Hassle Miles. I can't wait for his next CD."

"You know, when you're watching an especially warm, touching scene in a movie, how the richness and power of a solo violin can add so much emotion... maybe even moving you to tears? Or perhaps in another scene, the violin dances in the background to enhance the elation in a joyous scene? That's the kind of passionate violin work you'll hear on NO HASSLE MILES, the incredibly spirited new album from composer / violinist / bandleader Miles Stiebel. In case you're not from the D.C. area or the East Coast, you may not be aware of this man's reputation as one of the most requested entertainers for social, corporate, political and special events within and without the Beltway. He's at ease with all styles of music, but on this new project, Mr. Stiebel offers us vibrant conversations between his violin and Gerry Kunkel's acoustic and electric guitars on outstandingly memorable melodies, accompanied by sparkling rhythms and a potpourri of jazz, world, and new age grooves. This is anything but your typical jazz violin disc. It's contemporary, it's dynamic, it's extraordinarily compelling and emotional. What's especially cool about NO HASSLE MILES is that from the softly sweet "For My Love," "As I See It, and the Lennon McCartney classic "And I Love Her" to the cinematic "Simple Gifts" to the jubilant "A Great Day," "Kemp's Jig" and "Mileslypso," Miles Stiebel enraptures us with the full spectrum of textures that have right from the beginning made this format we call Smooth Jazz truly unique and captivating! ~SCOTT O'BRIEN"
