'The Mighty Guys make the Stray Cats sound like self-conscious beginners' declared Australia's national Juke rock magazine in 1981. 'They make it like Shakin' Stevens never knew' concurred the Sydney Morning Herald. Such praise was commonplace when the Mighty Guys emerged in Australian music in the early 1980s, as a rockabilly boom swept the world. The tempestuous trio was comprised of musicians with impressive Oz rock/pop chart pedigrees from the 1950s to the 1970s, Leon Isackson (Dig Richards & the RJs, Lonnie Lee & the Leemen, Johnny O'Keefe & the Rajahs), Mick Hamilton (the Moods, the Vibrants) & Phil Eizenberg (the Ferrets). Landslide is a 31 track compilation which draws together their three original albums, rare single B-sides, a track released as by the Red Hot Rockin' Santas & three previously unreleased tracks, 'Mystery Train' (live), 'Rocky Road Blues' (live) & 'Hang On Sloopy'
