"I came across Michal in a most unexpected place. While heading off to work, I passed the TV where my mom was watching "One Life to Live". Michal was performing on the show for some Valentine's special. I fell in love instantly and tracked down this CD.
Absolutely fantastic! Although some of the songs are a little too poppy for my taste, even the pop tracks are really good. Better than most of the pop garbage on the airwaves today.
I think my absolute favorite would be "Free Dirt" which is just as grungy and dark as the title would make you believe and yet you can tell there is emotion behind it. Most of her songs are like that. Think Alanis Morrisette without the high annoyance factor and more musical and singing ability.
I'd recommend this heavily to fans of Srah McLachlan & Heather Nova."
Powerful CD

"This CD is absolutley amazing. It has hard, rock-edge songs like 'Juliet's Refrain' but has softer, deeper songs like 'The Light' and 'Ripe'. There isn't one song on here that I didn't like but some of my favorites are 'Ripe', 'April is Gone' and 'Broken Boy'.What's sad, though, is that talented artists like Michal aren't getting much attention, not when pop groups are around. I just hope that Michal comes out with another cd soon, because she definitly has the talent to do anything. So support talented indie artists like Michal by buying this record. You won't be sorry."

"-I would. With so much confectionary pop dominating the airwaves and music stores, It's refreshing to see that Michal writes and produces all of her own music. Her style is complex and melodic-ranging from driving angry beats in "Juliet's Refrian" to softer melodies as in "Violet Delight" and "Perfect". Michal's sound is reminicent of the famous Phil Spector "Wall of Sound" that defined the 60's. If you find yourself still hungry for a little catchy pop, you will find it in a more sophisticated form in "My Friend" and "Broken Boy". God Bless Michal for delivering us from teen pop and showing us that our young people still have a talent worth listening to!"
Powerful vocals make for an awesome CD

"I read about Michal in an issue of "Teen" magazine last spring. I immediately downloaded "Juliet's Refrain" to see what it sounded like -- and was amazed. It's one of the best songs I've ever heard. Right away I ordered "Sky With Stars" from Amazon.com. Unfortunately, they were out of stock for weeks and weeks, and finally I gave up after a few months of waiting. I called all the music stores in town, and they can't get "Sky with Stars" in either. I even resorted to downloading, but Michal's music isn't available online either. Hopefully something will happen that will get this amazing artist out there -- I want to hear more of her work."

"Michal has DEFINATLY proved herself worthy to be crowned as a new voice in singer/songwriter genre. But her's aren't all bubblegum and pathetic,Michal has extrodinary writing skills. The lyrics are extremly brilliantly crafted together along with her smooth and polished piano playing. But with some heavy and moody guitar settings, this can EASILY be known as a definate power album. Her vocals are quite astounding, they fit perfectly with the lyrics,Michal definatly gets thumbs up for just letting the world know that yeah there is teen angst(i.e.-heart wrenching love, rejection, but also some catchy rock/pop tunes like "My Friend)and she definatly doesn't sugar coat it like bubblegum songer writers Michelle B. or Vanessa C. Michal puts a sophistacted whirl on the angst we all have inside"
