Michael Thompson is one of the world's leading guitar maestros of today. His spectacular and diverse list of credits includes: Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, 'N Sync, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart, Scorpions, Vince Neil, Christina Aguilera, Michael Bolton, Mariah Carey, Bette Midler, Madonna, Babyface, Gloria Estefan, Stanley Clarke and Ricky Martin. Originally from New York, Michael moved to Los Angeles in 1979 to begin a career as a studio musician. In 1988, he was signed by Geffen Records to release an album entitled "How Long", under the Michael Thompson Band (M.T.B.) moniker. This album is still regarded as one of the best examples of perfectly executed hi-tech West Coast AOR with superb production and immaculate songwriting. Reissued in 2007, it started a relationship between Thompson and Frontiers who eventually signed him for the release of the new Michael Thompson Band album. This time Michael teamed up with the awesome singer Larry King (Soleil Moon). Larry brought a more rocking approach to the MTB sound, but certainly the trademark elements of songwriting and melodies are still present in the new album, "Future Past". The production on the album is simply flawless and "Future Past" is destined to become another AOR music classic.
