Synopsis

Album Description
Michael Schenker is without a doubt one of the most important, stylistically influential and admired guitarists on the international rock scene. His flowing style as well as his successful mélange of fiery rock licks, forceful power riffs and classical quotations have made him the idol of a whole generation of talented young artists. Be it as a member of the Scorpions or the British rock legend U.F.O., as a solo artist, or with his own group MSG respectively: Schenker has been instrumental in the conception of countless rock classics. Almost seven years ago the pleasantly quiet, rather reflective offering Thank You hinted that his compositions could be extremely compelling and vivid even without vocals. Now, THANK YOU II does even better in terms of pace, without neglecting those sensitive melodic arches that Schenker's fans have come to expect. 11 new acoustic instrumental tracks are included.

CD Reviews

One Of The Greatest Instrumental Albums I Have Ever Heard
John-Paul Jalwan | Beirut, LEBANON | 06/09/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Well, I just bought this album, and I heard it for more than 10 times! I was really amazed by the music and the performance of Michael!!!!! he's really one of the greatest musicians of all time!!!! I still don't know how can a man do such a beautiful music! although it's not the first time I hear this style, cos i already have the album "Thank You vol.1", but I really felt that I was listening to a brand new kind of music, cos it has so much creativity!!!! it's very hard to say which of the 2 albums (vol.1 or vol.2) is better, they're both the best! but untill now, my opinion is that the new one has more beatiful melodies! anyway, i'm waiting for other listeners' reviews to know what they think! I really wish that Michael will release a Thank You volume 3!!!!!"
It is much like the first one
Kurt A. Ragsdale | Afton, Tn | 11/23/2003
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This cd is a lot like the first one(thank you cd). I think the first one is a slightly better than this one but this one proves to be a solid accoustical effort. It starts out good but it si better toward the middle and the end of the cd. If you like the first thank you cd then you should like this one as well."
The Mad-Axeman Shows Another Side..
"The Woj" | Downers Grove, IL | 08/12/2002
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Some guys can shred, some can pick, some can play loud, some are technical wizards, but not many stack up againt Michael Schenker. We often hear of rock vocalist such as Paul Rodgers or Glenn Hughes who have great range and can hit any note in any key; Michael is there counterpart on the guitar. He can play loud, soft, fast, furious, with finesse, plugged or unplugged (the VH-1 soon to be obsolete term). This acoustic release show a kindler, gentler, but no less masterful side of Schenker's playing. It is a must have for any Schenker fan. Most importantly the album invites repeated listenings. Something artist like Steve Vai, Eric Johnson & Joe Satriani can only dream about. Pair this release with "Beware Of Scorpions" for a more insightful look into his playing."
