CD Reviews

Mr. Schenker Extraordinaire!
music man | claycity, ky United States | 07/13/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Stunning guitar work!Absolutely mind blowing!Never mind the reviews that criticize the drumming, believe me it does'nt matter. In a world full of shredders and repetitive grunge guitarist's Michael Schenker is a breath of fresh air!(just be thankfull we still have musicians like him still recording)This disc is as good if not better than Adventures Of The Imagination and Dreams And Expressions.Michael is in my opinion one of the top five guitarist's on earth. If you are a fan and don't have this in your collection you're really missing out."
"Oddly Enough"

"I finally purchased this cd, I was an idiot for waiting so long. But married with kids takes priority. Schenker plays all the instruments on this one. This cd is so good, from the 1st song to the last. Great riffs, heavy rythyms and very fast soloing with that trademark tone. Michael is not content to live off the past, but is breaking new ground with every new cd. This cd is a must for every guitar lover, trax 1-4 are my favs, but all are top notch. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was the drum and bass production was weak..."
Michael Plays All The Instruments....

"If you could see the 3 back cover photos of the band members, it is actually Michael Schenker in all 3 pictures.
He's dressed "rasta man" style as the bass player (aka Harry Cobham) and in drag for the female drummer (aka Kathy Brown). This is a true solo album in all respects.
What really stands out is Michael's guitar, da! Unlike Steve Vai, Steve Morse, Vinnie Moore etc... the list goes on and on, Schenker can just flat out rock. The true test of a good album it's ability to demand repeated listenings....and Odd Trio delivers. In summation class, you buy a Michael Schenker album to hear the "Mad Axeman" work his magic on the guitar. You don't buy it for the drum fills or bass solos. I give it 5 stars and rest my case."
