CD ReviewsA delightful treasure that's sure to please cabaret fans. 05/01/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "I picked up this album at Gentry's in Chicago and I'm glad to see that Amazon has it in its catalogue. Mr. Mcassey is a first rate performer with an endearing, honest quality to his voice. Think of a young Barry Manilow with a touch of smokey,huskiness mixed in. The mix on this disc ranges from bright and bouncy to heart-tugging. The "Where do you start/ You can have the TV" medly and "Jonathan Wesley Oliver, Jr" selections are sure to raise a lump in even the most jaded listener's throat. The only other time that I've heard "Jonathan Wesley..." was at the 1992 AIDS Quilt Candlelight march in Washington DC where Joel Grey performed it live. I'm glad to see that Mr. Mcassey has recorded it and has done such a beautiful job with it. I look forward to future recordings by this artist and hope he comes to the Raleigh area at some time."
