"For anyone who has not entered the sound world Miaskovsky (Myaskovsky), this CD is a wonderful introduction. The 'Cello Concerto is absolutely gorgeous as well as the 2nd Sonata. Trust me, if these pieces don't move you - call your doctor, you might be dead! From here, listen to the late symphonies and, most especially, the Violin Concerto. There are three great 20th Russian composers: Shostakovich, Prokofiev, and Miaskovsky. Enjoy."
