""A Perfect Solution" continues Mesh's winning streak: the synth melodies pulse and soar, the guitars crunch, the production is top-notch as always, and Mark Hockings remains one of the genre's most compelling singers. If you enjoy keyboard-driven rock of any variety, I can't recommend this album (or its predecessors "We Collide" and "Who Watches Over Me?") highly enough. Be sure to pick up the deluxe edition, since "Hold and Restrain" is among the highlights."

"Mesh inspires with words and sweeps me away with edgy beats, and complex soundscapes. As a MESH fan, A Perfect Solution is their best work to date. Everything you have come to expect from Mesh (electro-industrial elements, synth structures, driving guitar, great lyrics/voice) is taken to the next level. Songs transition from drive to mellow and from synthesizers and bitreduced distorted beats to more straight forward guitar driven numbers. If music is consumable, I devoured this and had thirds!"

"I have been a casual fan of Mesh for several years. I have always liked their sound and was mostly a fan of the club stuff... "crash" and Icon Of Coil's remix of "friends like these". I love the direction the new material has taken them. The mix of electronics and guitars on this album is excellent. It's quite rare that you can buy a new release from a band and have every song be good. This album is fantastic. I tend to listen to mostly Industrial, Synthpop and the like. The new Mesh is the best music I have heard in quite some time. That's saying a lot since bands like VNV NATION, Assemblage 23, and Depeche Mode(what happened to them?) have all recently put out new music. "A Perfect Solution" is by far the best of the bunch and is exactly what the stagnant electro/industrial scene needed."
A Perfect Solution is pretty much a perfect album.

"This is Mesh's best album to date. When their last album (We Collide) first came out, I was immediately smitten. It was more upbeat, electronic, and catchier than their previous stuff - all traits that were big pluses for me at the time. However...shortly afterward I became aware that I rarely went back to it. The songs ended up not sticking with me as much as those from Who Watches Over Me, and the mixing/mastering left much to be desired. I'm typically more of an electronic fan than a rock fan, which is why I'm somewhat surprised I'm so in love with A Perfect Solution, as it is a sharp return to a more rock sound. This one seems like it could have been released before Who Watches Over Me. But the production and mastering are top-notch. I won't go into too much detail about the tracks because they are truly all great. This is their most consistent album in both sound and quality. I'm trying to think of favorites to list, but I just can't. I really love every track. If I had to pick a single favorite, though, it would probably be "Who Says" (which MUST become a single). It's a delicious blend of beats, great lyrics, a rockin' chorus, and female guest vocals, which is something a little different for Mesh. This is one of those bands that I can't believe no one has ever heard of. If the thought of an edgier, rockier Depeche Mode appeals to you at all, please check these guys out! I'd start with this album, followed by Who Watches Over Me."

"The sinlg efor this album got me excited and, truthfully, so did the knowledge that something new was coming out of Mesh's court. It has been too long since i have tasted that fragrant taste and listened to those tasty vocals, and having the single only amped me up to buy the big beast. Since the Deluxe Version is almost the same price as the regular version it made since to pick up the big-timer, and I have yet to stop listening to the sexy way in which Mesh makes my mind move. It seems like the songs are ageless when I go back and listen, with everything from "Fragmente II" to "Who Watches over Me" and "In this Place Forever" sticking to my mind like glue. The same can be said for A perfect Solution, which has the same vocal siren song running from track to track and making me feel like I have found the perfect audio drug.
I always wonder why more people do not pick up on the band.
On "A Perfect Solution," I was immediately drawn to "Who Says" "Is It So Hard," and It's Gone." This is not to say that the rest of the album does not take its spin around and around my mind, but these songs made me happy because they really showcased the vocals that Mesh is known for. Each has its own beat, too, showing how the band can create both soft songs with somber meanings and more tempoed clashes of feelings with so much hidden inside them. Perhaps it is giving the band a lot of credit, but when I listen to Mesh I feel like they actually mean the things that are sung. They have bleeding hearts and emotional discomfort, showing the pain that comes from being alive and losing something that has luster. There is the love and the pain, the denial and the regret, and the wording that sounds almost like a prayer being cast to the audio Gods.
I really love the way these sounds feel.
If you know Mesh, this is yet another hit from a band that produces more and more of them. If you do not know the band, then think "vocals" and try the album on for size. There are plenty of samples for you, the one reviewer that matters, to try on, and they give you a lot of what the band is about. It is an odd marriage of band and label, too, considering how Metropolis is an EBM frontier and Mesh is more about creating vocal rememdies than motion pressed to plastic. Still, the marriage works and this album proves it yet again. Highly recommended and loved."
