"If you know who either if these musicians are you shouldn't have to read a review...just buy it!!! Let me start by saying Merzdub is a FUN record...overloaded beats, Dub effects, haunting church organ, noise and straight-ahead reggae are all present here and every single track has something unique to offer. Jamie Saft-(zorn's Electric Masada, Swami Late Plate, Strammer Maxxx, etc) plays all the instruments and fashions Merzbow's source material into fully realized pieces. For a "noise" record some of these songs sure are catchy!! "Beware Dub" and "Skinning JLO" have awesome beats/"Dangermix" sounds like jurassic park VS star wars...& "Visions of Irie" sounds like getting dosed in a dancehall. The album closer "Slow Down Furry Dub" could be some time travel jam between merzbow and the Tuff Gong himself! GET IT!!!

Anti-ambient sonic-soundscapes are remixed by Jamie Saft together with Merzbow's mind-melting assault on the senses. This unique album brings bizarre and brutal beatings to the brain from their journey into noise.
