"Thank god for bands like Mere Mortals. This band is a musicians band. Their latest disc is incredible and is definitely their best. They mix a number of music styles for a sound uniquely their own. They're solid in every way and are bound for bigger things. The kicker is they're even better live! The last time I saw them was in New York city and they were the best they've ever been. Do yourself a favor and get this disc because it is a necessity for any great music collection. They make music like it is supposed to be made. Put the disc on, press play, and you won't want to turn it off until the disc is through. May all bands be as inspiring as this one is."

"A lively party band with outstanding musicianship, the Mere Mortals were one of Pennsylvania's best-kept secrets (at least from the rest of the country). And their third release Mondegreen Dream showed them finally hitting their stride; a near-flawless blend of rock, jazz sensibility and melodies that'll lift anyone's mood. Alterna-rock is mixed with a touch of slinky blues in "On My Dinosaur." "Mountain Slide" offers lyrics of an impending breakup sugar-coated with a lively, sunny sing-along tune. "Walking on a Fine Line" would be practically at home on a Jimmy Buffett album. The bookends "Funny Animals" and "Radiate" kick with blazing horns. Please don't think they're a superficial top-40 group from those comments; though the not-so-high points "Falling" and "Until You Send Me Away" could be Billboard singles, the rest of what's offered shows more variety than the pop charts can handle. This is an album for a party, a barbecue, a sunny cruise on the highway.. and did I mention the musicianship was also outstanding?"
