CD Reviews

When you need to hear something that is never on the radio
Ultraman | Los Angeles, CA | 09/17/2000

"Tired of all the same garbage on the radio, played endlessly until you want to just bash your stereo to bits and say "to hell with it all?" Pick up this CD and get a little something different into your system.Memory Dean's "Shake It Up" brings in the greatness of pop music you rarely hear anywhere else. Originally from Atlanta, I know about this rocking Georgia band and I thought I should let more know: this is a really good listening CD. Bringing together the flavor and styles of U2 and Drivin N Cryin and so many other cool bands, how could this not be a good combination? This CD is worth buying. Pick it up."
A great listen, very talented group

"I saw Memory Dean perform in Georgia when this album had just come out. I instantly like them and have become a fan. This group is a talented group that can write compelling and inspirational work as well as just simply rock. They are by today's standards what I would call somewhat mello, but they are fun to listen to. Over a year later, I still regularly listen to this CD. That is a good plus since people seldom buy a CD that will last awhile. This is not a one hit band nor a single good CD. The band is great. I have moved across the country and no longer have the cance to se them live, although I wish I could. I strongly recommend this CD. It is a classic in my book, it should be in yours too."
A must have to round out your sounds

"I was lucky enough to see Memory Dean open for Barenaked Ladies in Atlanta. What a show!BNL was great needless to say, but Memory Dean surprised me. The band actually has talent. This album has it all, the local alternative hit "So Complicated" to the vocal harmonies and acoustic guitars of "Screaming From The Towers".Everyone who hears this one in my disc changer rotation asks where they can get. I tell them Amazon!"
