Under the radar screen

"If your not fimiliar with Meliah Rage's music your not alone. I've been a longtime fan of this band but they never have seemed to make it big. There music is in the style of Metallica and Megadeth. Barely Human continues in this style with top notch song writing. The openner "Hate Machine" is straight forward and to the point with the usual catchy riffs and vocals. Track 2 is a speedster named "Invicible" and completely rocks. I mean this song is as good a speed metal song as there is. The title track "Barely Human" is a mid tempo slugfest that has a super catchy chorus (this is nothing new to the band). Song 4 is "Ungodly" and AGAIN has a super catchy chorus. More of a power ballad but still has some sack. "Wrong Place" is the first song that is a bit of a letdown. Its fast and has some cool riffs but the vocals don't seem to keep up with the guitars. Track 6 "Rigid" is an instramental worthy of a listen or 2 and has some great riffs. "Bloodbath" is the worst song on the record with a super boring chorus. "Hell Song" is a dark ballad kind of deal and has some haunting vocals. I like it alot. The last song is "Motorphysco" and it completey ripps. The riffs are blasting and again has a chorus that keeps ringing in the brain. Meliah Rage write heavy metal songs better than just about any other heavy metal band out there but for some reason stay below the radar screen. If you like Metallica, Megadeth, Metal Church or Iced Earth you need to add this record to your collection. A fAN!"
Great CD

"Terrific CD from an underappreciated band. I saw these guys live before I had any of their music, and they blew me away. They should have been much more well known than they are. If you are looking for something new, get this!"
Well worth the $

"I all but forgot about this band until i read a review that this comeback record was amazing. These guys are simply some of the best song writers in the power metal form. If you like old Metallica or Metal Church you will love this disc! Powerfull, skillfull and aggressive i guess are the best way to describe this masterpeice."
