Synopsis

Album Description
In sonic terms, Megablast?s musical maiden voyage for Stereo Deluxe, Creation, is aptly titled. It is a product more of imaginative musicianship and programming rather then the influences or the following of something or someone else. Maybe he will call his second album Evolution? Creation is an album of new tastes and combinations, accessible yet challenging for the listener, and certainly justified to be called as such. For sure, the music of Megablast contains influences and ingredients of other things; everything has influence as we all seek direction from all around, we are human after all! These though are the influences of life and of his existence more then the directions of other producers and musicians. While Sascha Weisz lives and breathes in Vienna, Creation is not typically Viennese sounding and the making of another downbeat or chilled production were never in question. The music of Megablast is created from his science, spirit, soul and imagination alone, and not that of others. He helps break the mold of a myth, as for too long, Vienna has been categorized as the city of downtempo, the capital of chill out, the finest musical laboratory for the art of European dub experiments. Megablast, along with Stefan Moerth aka Stereotyp (G Stone), have definitely brought to our attention, brand new and very innovative sounds from the city of Vienna. How nourishing that these two adventurous and non conforming producers arrive on the musical map to shake it up a little? More relishing is the thought that both Megablast and Stereotyp will encourage others and provide freedom for them to be creative.
