Medicine Sunday is power/grunge before the genre existed

"Medicine Sunday is guitarist Oliver Wolf and singer Frank Pupo, bassist Matt Barton and power drummer Steve Reisman.
Several drummers joined Medicine Sunday following a number of departures by Reisman, including Rory Walsh who plays most tracks on this CD.
The band has a hard rock sound with a grungy edge that predates the "grunge" era.
This eponymous first Medicine Sunday CD begins with a commercially palatable version of their popular song Bright. The fast and powerful Great Black Void is one of the tracks on the CD that features backing vocals of Wolf and producer Douglas Catfish Snodgrass. The song is followed by the ripping Power Tripping. The improvised In This Way is a quick glimpse of the improvisational jamming style and versatility explored in the studio. Better Half is the ethereal ballad of the album - soft and loud in the same.
Wolf's guitars are tight and dirty. Pupo's vocals distant at times and in your face at others and Barton holds the guitar and drums together with his solid bass line."
