"I saw McKendree spring in 1973 backing up Uriah Heep in Madison,Wi.I was extremely impressed by their talents and chemistry.Now finally they've come out with live cd.It is excellent from beginning to end.Some of the highlights are the creative instrumental GOD BLESS THE CONSPIRACY which is my all time favorite song by them and i for one usually don't get into instrumentals all that much,but this song just grabs you and the violin on it is worth the price alone.They also cover DOWN BY THE RIVER by Neil Young and THE WEIGHT by the Band along with a couple of other covers along with their own compositions.I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves country rock.(Eagles,Mason Proffit etc.)I have been collecting music for many years and i always find that because of the corruption of radio in the U.S.the music that isn't played is most always the best."

"I was at that show at the ballroom it was a great show.I am so happy to say the cd is as awesome as the show was.They were hot that night and it truely shows on this cd.you will ba amassed to hear God bless the Conspiracy and Down by the river Live.A must have for all fans of the band."

"Having seen McKendree Spring "back in the day", I totally enjoyed listening to LIVE AT THE BEACHLAND BALLROOM. The performance starts out with a fully energitic I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN, and then just soars from there. There are multiple high points here (Fire and Rain; Corrina, Corrina; Flying Dutchman; Down By the River), just to mention a few. Just a shame I hadn't heard that this show was happening, I'D BEEN THERE IN A HEARTBEAT!!!! Enjoy"

"I first saw the Spring in 1972 at my high school in New Jersey. I had previously heard "I Should Have Known" on New York FM stations, and loved the inventive sound- no drums! A great melody with great counterpoint from the violin and guitarist. At the concert, Martin was joking with the crowd- it was a 9 PM concert, and many of the kids there didn't really know what the band was about. And of course, there was a wild psychedelic violin solo with lots of echo. It was an excellent concert. I continued being a fan, buying the albums as they were released, and even seeing a pre-MTV video from Tracks which aired on network television one weekend afternoon.
This group created great sensitive music on a consistent basis. And now we have the 30 year anniversary album, which I waited so long to hear. How lucky we still had the principal players around to play once again. Listen to this wonderfully created music and be glad in your soul."
