CD Reviews

Pretty Good

"I'm a fan of the Brady Bunch and have always thought that Maureen McCormick (Marcia) had a teriffic voice. She still does on this CD, and she does not disappoint. My only wish is that it wasn't country. Maureen's "twang" sounds forced and a little silly, considering that she's from California. I liked it better when she sang pop tunes on It's a Sunshine Day, the Brady Bunch CD. Anyway, if you like her voice, I'd still get this CD just because she's Marcia! Maybe Maureen will release a new pop CD today; if she does, I'll buy it."
My two cents

"I read the reviews for this disc before listening to it, and all I can say is take these reviews (particularly the nasty, pretentious ones) with the proverbial grain of salt.

This is, simply, a good country music album. The vocals are good, the musicianship is solid and tight, and the material is, overall, excellent. The title song, co-written by the late Nicolette Larson, is the best song on the album, in my humble opinion. I wish Maureen McCormick followed this album up with others, she's a good country music singer who probably will get much better with time."
