A taste of things to come

"This laid back soulfull collection of tunes comes from Deighton during a quick respite from his main band at the time, Mother Earth who were at the height of their career. They are all gorgeous songs which showcase him in a completely new setting which displays his beautiful voice and sweet acoustic guitar playing.As one of the New Acid Jazz pioneers Matt Deighton was the frontman every band wanted to have. Mother Earth were one of the mainstays of Acid Jazz and became know for their passionate live perfomances and standout albums like "The People Tree" and "You have been watching...".This rootsy offering evokes the subtle work of Nick Drake and should be filed under acoustic chilled. The title track is a killer. Buy this album!!!!"

"Luck help find this CD's way into my hands and ears, and boy am I grateful. Very mellow, "groovy". Lots of acoustic strumming and smooth, easy vocals from Matt Deighton. A very delightful surprise."
