I bought it primarily because I was seeking SACD software for my new multi format player. I'm a fan of acoustic guitar music and felt that the gut stringed lute would appeal to my ear. It did and how.
The multi-channel SACD track is well presented. The sound is clean and warm . . . very lifelike in its presentation. There is a good sense of sonic space with this recording. One feels very central to the performance with a realistic amount of room ambience present. The stereo track plays well too. Overall, this is a treat for the ears and a great recording for lute lovers (or lovers of any acoustic stringed instruments). " |
