Synopsis

Amazon.com
Only God Can Judge Me is yet another lousy-sounding, all but bassless offering from the No Limit cartel. With lyrics consisting of every gangsta cliché and catchphrase Master P and his cohorts can conjure, this disc will appeal only to those starving for lowest-common-denominator rap and Southern hip-hop chauvinists. Vowing to stay ghetto fabulous forever, Master P invokes his clips from Fortune (not to mention his movies, celebrated in a line that compares him, favorably, to Spielberg). When not boasting of his riches and his crew loyalty, the P slows the beat down for "Ghetto in the Sky," a rank imitation of Tupac's more thoughtful moments, and "Ghetto Prayer," a typically overdramatic meld of the gospel and wholly hollow playa "regrets." One or two more CDs as awful as this one, and Master P's stock is sure to drop as hard and fast as Puffy's did. --Rickey Wright

CD Reviews

The Beginning of the End

"This was the last no limit cd I ever purchased....I swore to myself three years ago if the cd was junk I would throw it out the car window and keep on driving and never puchase another no limit and especially master p cd. I stayed true. His flow lacks any originality and he would rather bite true artists like tupac instead of coming up with something new or interesting to say...when not biting tupac without shame he spits tired flows about bentleys, cash, how he's the best, or just plain garbage....his cd in the end just sounds like "wah wah wah wah wah wah" like the teacher in peanuts....any real hip hop fan will take a shovel and bury any future no limit release...if you wanna hear no limit check out ghetto D or unpredictable by mystikal...otherwise pass."
Id give this cd 0 stars if it wuz possible

"Wut is this? A r&b compilation? This must be worst no limit release next to Made Man. Almost all these tracks seem like recycled junky noise slaped together, i listened to this cd and wuz glad i didnt buy this trash. P has nuthin 2 really talk about anymore, hes richer than most people and duznt live in the ghettos anymore. Give up the rap business and retire. Im gone with C-Murder's new record company. Peace"
