Essential, You Just Don't Know It Yet!

"Martha Velez is a lovely, soulful singer and actor whose career spans decades. She recorded at least five LPs between 1969 and the century's end, but they were all on different labels and hard to find. Four of the tracks on this compilation are from her first album, Fiends and Angels, and feature Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Christine McVie, Brian Auger, Mitch Mitchell, and Jim Capaldi. Several reggae tracks are from her Bob Marley and Lee Perry produced Escape From Babylon LP, my personal favorite. It's all good, and all we get on CD until someone sees fit to reissue these classics. If you're curious, take a chance on this collection. You will be so glad you did."
