Oddball Exotica LP on CD at Last

"This is actually an old LP that was released back in the 50's (I think), back when the Exotica and Tiki craze was sweeping the nation. The album has some classic exotica elements like the wordless vocals and a far away exotic theme. However, there are bangos and some kooky tracks that make this album a realy interesting thing. Its not the lazy Exotica of Martin Denny or Arthur Lyman, rather it is an oddball, kooky album that doesn't sound very Oriental at times. However, it is a shining example of the kitsch of the era and its wonderful to see it preserved digitally on CD. Its a great CD to have for collectors of the Exotica and retro genres, but be aware, its got a very high kitsch factor."
