Album Description
A stunning collection of instrumental solos for MIDI dulcimer and acoustic MIDI-guitar, "autumn" invokes the peaceful spirit of a late fall afternoon in Oregon's beautiful Siskiyou Mountains.
In the late 1980s, Mark harnessed his dulcimer and guitar to a then state-of-the-art MIDI system, allowing him to create everything from subtle washes of color to richly evolving soundscapes. Most of the songs on this CD were recorded live, with no overdubbing or editing. It remains one of the most fascinating, and beautiful, examples of acoustic/electronic fusion ever recorded.
Also notable are Mark's original songs "While You Were Sleeping," "Gaviotas," "Good Old Dog" and "Pau Hana" - early examples of his groundbreaking Celtic/slack key stylings.
Originally released in 1996, "autumn..." is finally available again.
