CD Reviews

Very Haunting and Moving score!!!
Doug Chenevert | Salisbury,NC | 07/07/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Mark Isham is a composer I am not too familiar with, yet when I heard the haunting score for Running Scared I instantly became a fan!...This Score captures the emotion as well as the horror of what the main characters go through in this very good film. The Theme itself is very haunting, as is the theme for the demonic husband and wife kidnappers that seem to eminate demon-like shadows on the wall. I highly recommend this score for any movie score fan out there!....every single track tells its own story. You can actually feel the fear and anger that every character goes through just by hearing the score itself. So, for all of you movie score fans out there, GET THIS SCORE!!! you will not regret it!!!!--Doug Chenevert"
Patrick O'Hearn Influences

"Isham and Manu have worked with Patrick O'Hearn, and although PO'H does not

get a full credit his influence can be heard to me. While watching the film i heard bits and pieces of his work and those who were with him on either his or his contributors works. I saw Isham as composere with Manu as Guitar Samplers/Solos. I did not see PO'H but this would not be the first time one of these 3 did not get a mention on a sountrack. White Sands as this score are close to each other. Get this soundtrack if you have Manu's one and only cd and all of Isham. PO'H is an acquired taste and some of his work will drive you up a wall. If you like this get some of O'Hearn's early stuff. Isham is never a miss."
