Reunion is an excellent musical offering by two superb musicians who have been friends and musical associates for more then thirty years Once living in the same city (Miami), they were separated for many years by Mark Colbys move to Chicago, hence this album bares an appropriate title. When musicians of their caliber and shared musical experiences reunite, the interim years quickly melt away, evidenced here in the obvious unity between Vince and Mark. The selections presented in Reunion are of extraordinarily high quality and include quite a variety of sources, to include standards, bossa novas, jazz originals, ballads, waltzes, burners, and composers like Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Sonny Rollins, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Freddie Hubbard.
