LL can do much better

""Headsprung" the first single off LL Cool J's new album, "The DEFinition", is strictly a club banger. I believe that's the only purpose this song has - the beat is hard and danceable, and catchy hook makes for an automatic hit single.

LL used to be "hard as hell", but now I'm not so sure. He spits a total of about 10 lines in the entire song, with no flow at all, and the rest of the song is hook-driven. Simply, if he rapped more in this one, this would be a great song, but sadly, he doesn't.

Headsprung alone gets 2 stars, but the single gets an extra star for "Feel the Beat", a song definately worth checking out, because it's reminiscent of LL Cool J's old rap style."
