CD Reviews

Never Too Far

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Personally,i like the song,Never Too Far.I was blown away when i first listened this song.It is a great ballad from Mariah. It is definitely better than some of her previous ballads, such as When You Believe,I Still Believe. You can feel the pain and heartache when you listen to this song. And not too forget, her amazing angelic voice that is shown at the end of the song.Dont Stop is an upbeat hip-hop song.I find it catchy and it is a new style of music from Mariah.I think it is far better than some of her hip-hop work in Rainbow. The reason i give this CD-single 4 stars is i dont really like Loverboy."
"Never Too Far" is a great song

"I love "Never Too Far", and the whole "Glitter" album. It's a shame that she was so messed-up afterwards. Otherwise, I think the album may of done better."
The Good and the Bad

"I have a promo version of this single so I can comment only on the first two tracks.
NEVER TOO FAR - a true highlight in Mariah's career, best song on the Glitter album. And if you've seen the movie and know the story behind it, you will love it even more. Also, the video is nice. Simple but beautiful.
DON'T STOP - My oh my. Mariah, DO STOP making songs like this. What's the point in having a wonderful chorus in a song if the rest is so bad that even an average chorus would seem bright beside it? This Mystikal guy has no voice. The song should be either re-recorded with the guys who appeared in "If We" or should be completely re-written with only the chorus kept from the original."
