Synopsis

Product Description
Rio de Janeiro-based guitarist Marcos Amorim returns with his second Adventure Music release, "Sete Capelas (Seven Chapels)", the followup to his critically acclaimed 2004 "Cris on the Farm". The new project of all original compositions features several of Brazil's most respected instrumentalists: Robertinho Silva on drums and percussion; Ney Conceico on bass; and special guest, flautist Nivaldo Ornelas, who adds a great dimension to this otherwise superb trio. Amorim is regarded as one of Brazil's guitar virtuosos.

CD Reviews

Very relaxing, very good
Papetti | Mexico City | 08/01/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This, Marcos Amorim's third CD is a very mellow, introspective one; one that will give you the right mood for meditation, reading, and at the same time; it'll be the perfect background music for your next get-together.

Marcos' playing is very talented and to round up that sound, he's accompanied here by three very talented musicians like:

- Nivaldo Ornelas / on Flutes

- No other than Robertinho Silva / on Drums and Percussion

and...

- Ney Conceicao / on Bass.

I enjoyed all the cuts, and my favourite is absolutely number 10 "Homenagiando Garoto"; this one's the one that represents their Brazilian heritage perfectly.

A very good smooth Brazilian Jazz..........."
