"This CD was so enjoyable I wanted to pass along some feelings so that others might take this opportunity to listen and appreciate this music as well. What made this particular CD a stand-out for me was the way the sounds of the various instruments were woven together in a wonderfully complex and engaging way. The fue and taiko complemented each other creating a lively feeling of joy and celebration especially in the pieces Beginnings and Eisa. Each percussive instrument, including the various drums used, displayed its own distinctive sound which I found especially vibrant in Yatai Baishi. Beautiful too, were the pieces that combine the soulful qualities of the shakuhachi with the koto. It was also exciting to hear original pieces created so in keeping with the more traditional taiko music also featured on the CD. Even if you are not a big taiko fan this CD could make you one."

"Loved the title songs beginnings with the mix of drums and flutes.
The bamboo flute and the koto music pieces are also very inspiring.
Hachijo is also one of my favorite song- was directed here through [another website] where you can actually listen to some of the clips of this CD and judge for yourself!!
I would recommend greatly even for people new to Taiko music or japanese music at all. Some are very catchy tune."

"Always after Taiko music and was glad to find yet another taiko CD- Loved it as always, this one has a bigger mix of songs, with a ot of flutes and some koto music.
Really enjoy the mix of flute and taiko not so often found in Taiko CD
