CD Reviews

A different sound, yet the same quality

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Being a huge Marc et Claude fan, you won't often find me disappointed with their music. But, bias aside, this single is really something. Many remixes of songs retain the general premise of the original cut. 'Loving You' is different. I cannot stand the original version of this song. Be prepared if you're familiar with Marc et Claude, because the first song (the original) is definitely a new sound for the duo. The woman's vocals drive me up the wall, and I feared the rest of the CD would as well. But, to my surprise, the four remixes were outstanding because they were actually distinctly different songs. Of all the remixes, the Dark Moon Remix is by far the best. The hypnotic beats mixed with original vocals create the trance sound so familiar to these artists. The Slo-Motion Mix sticks to the sound of the original track, yet does exactly what its title infers; slows down the song to a less obnoxious, stress-free pace. The Ratty Remix is signature Ratty, where the focus is more on beats than vocals, ultimately forming a song fit for a rave. Finally, the Marco V. Remix is a progressive mix that, like Ratty's, intensifies and complicates the beats of the song, but forms individuality by relying on intelligently-selected sound effects. I have to say, this is Marc Et Claude's best single to date because of each remixes' originality. If you're an old fan or simply a curious browser, this CD is secure purchase all the way around."
