Product Description

In 1970 some close friends of Charles Manson recorded his collection of lost "desert music" songs as a statement of friendship and faith during his highly unconstitutional trial. The music on these two CDs was recorded while the women embroidered outside the courthouse. This classic acid folk-rock session features Steve Grogan (Clem) on vocals and guitar; ultra-ethereal female vocals from Brenda (Gold), Country Sue, and others; and Catherine Share (Gypsy) on violin with vastly improved sound over previous bootlegs. The second CD contains a never-released hour of unheard songs and radical alternate takes. The 20-page booklet contains unpublished photos and extremely focused liner notes by Manson, Blue, and Red.
