CD Reviews

Limited vocals, limited song lengths...
Daniel W. Kelly | Long Island, NY United States | 04/05/2005
(3 out of 5 stars)

"Yes, i'm one of those vocal lovers, and this one is a bit too repetitive and tribal for my tastes, with a few exceptions including Kristine W, Deborah Coooper, and Lisa Hunt, all of which are hot vocal tracks. Here, they seem out of place because they are surround by endless minutes of nothing but beats, and occasionally, a hot riff. As for the song lengths, if you're hoping most of these are pretty long versions of some hot tracks you've been hunting for, you'll be mostly disappointed. here's the breakdown:

Pots and pans
Socalraverboy | West Hollywood, CA USA | 11/18/2005
(2 out of 5 stars)

"Unless you are a major hardcore fan of the "pots and pans" style of dance music, you're gonna really have a hard time with the extensive use of that repetitive banging sound on track after track. There are some exceptions, but too many songs here won't do anything for the casual listener off the dancefloor unless you are under the influence of a party favor. Bang, bang, bang... it's just not very musical to me. Thank goodness that sound is falling out of favor already in danceclubs."
Solid mix
James Dean | 07/15/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is a good mix. I like the diversity and I like the tribal-heavy beats. I also appreciate him not sticking a diva/anthem on every other track.

It definetely doesn't stick out to me in many ways, and most tracks have become forgotten, lest for a few. However, very solid to say the least."
