"This is where it all begins. It is with this release that Manegarm lay the foundation for what was to become thier sound, amd you can already hear it on this disc. From the folk-inspired melodies, female vocals (some of the best, by the way) and the violin work. Of course, it does sound quite different from the band's recent work. They play a lot faster here, the various elements described above are brought in very haphazardly at times (although it still works wonders) and the production is very raw. That being said, it's a must own."
