CD Reviews

Sexier than ricky martin, for sure

"If you can't see Mandorico live, this cd is a pretty good alternative. The energy is infectious despite the lack of Jesse's onstage antics. You'll have to provide your own backflips. In addition to the fast songs are pieces of incredible tenderness. Everything is so tight musically and artistically its a challenge to pick a favorite. The line-up changes constantly and I think that the group on this album is my favorite incarnation."
Mandorico IS a party!

"Lush Latin Ska. Incredible horns, slick bass, insatiable drums, a variety of stimulating instruments, and the sultry, sexy sounds of Jesse's lead vocals. The way he sings in both English and Spanish make you want to learn the language. This album will never collect dust among your collection. Their energy is infectious. See this band live, if you ever get the chance. One word:Energy!"
If you like Ozomatli or No Doubt then you love them!

"I saw Mandorico at the Five Points St Patty's Day Festival in Columbia SC. Despite the sun and the lame crowd, they rocked! With a combination of Mambo, Ska, and hip hop - they got the crowd on their feet. The lead singer has amazing energy and I can't wait to see them live again. I bought their cd immediately. It looks like they were touring without their normal horns section (female trombonist) but their sound was tight and the songs were great. I'd definately see them again and I'm going to buy their first album too."
