CD ReviewsEXCELLENT RELEASE BOB | LOS ANGELES, CA | 09/15/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "I can't imagine any Malo fan not enjoying this CD, and I was surpised to see that it had not been reviewed here.
The recording/engineering is top-notch and the performances are fabulous. Although there are only two original members remaining, and while Jorge Santana does not appear on this CD, there's nothing lacking from the fire and passion displayed by this ensemble. This outfit is TIGHT and HOT. While the remastered Rhino Handmade box presents the original studio material in the best available audio, those recordings don't hold a candle to the sound on this disc. This disc really demonstrates the dynamic sound of this band. I can't recommend this CD more highly." |
