"I already own most of FM/MR albums but these 2 alway stood out.I had them both but I wanted extra copies. I have this habit of buying 2 copies of the same CD if it's one that's particularly hard to find or if it's just exceptionally good or both. I kept finding The World Anthem on Amazon for upwards of $70.00 which is a bit excessive. Found this 2 for 1 package at Amoeba (only LA residents know this place) for $25.00 and sold. Great deal!

Frank Marino is one of those underappreciated guitar heroes, sort of a real musician's musician. Heavy metal, blues, jazz, fusion all combined along with the some synthesizers (occasionally) along with a definite Jimi Hendrix influence create a surprisingly listenable collection of songs.

The songs are actually well-written and do not sound like some guitarist who suffers from fretboard overkill. These are songs with riffs, chord progressions, melodies that are actually well done and contrary to popular opinion do not sound like a carbon copy of Jimi Hendrix, but stand on their own as Marino's own style.

These 2 albums together are a great deal as they are increasingly difficult to find seperately, well worth listening to and any guitarist who tries to copy Frank will find himself challenged and his own chops immediately expanded."

"It is with great pleasure that I review this BGO release. Once again they have done a great job of not only selecting a worthy artist but a great choice of material. Technicly speaking this double release is excelently remastered. The sonic quality of this has to be heard to be believed. I have other CD's of Mahogany Rush IV [ Japan/Sony] and World Anthem[ Holland/Columbia] but they don't sound as good as this. I just hope that BGO dosen't stop here, as the rest of the Mahogany Rush catalouge deserves the same treatment. I dream of the day that BGO releases Whats Next, which just screams for the BGO teatment! As a die hard fan I can't think of anything better. Buy this now and enjoy. I give this a four out of four star rating. Enjoy."
