Magnolia Summer is a new project lead by St. Louis singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Chris Grabau. Grabau has participated in a number of projects over the last decade including multi-instrumentalist stints with several artists throughout the St. Louis area. Grabau is also a full time member of the Undertow recording artist, Waterloo, who has recently finished recording their second release with producer Eli Shaw and has shared the stage with the Pernice Brothers and Dolly Varden. "Magnolia Summer's debut record, "Levers and Pulleys" is a collection of songs written by Grabau and produced and recorded by Waterloo leader, Mark Ray. The album features appearances from Mark Ray and John Baldus (Waterloo), Adam Reichmann and Steve Rauner (Nadine), Anne Tkach (Nadine and Hazeldine), Heather Moll (Climber / Bagherra), Jeremy Brown (Treif / Yidin), and John Horton (Jay Farrar / Rockhouse Ramblers / Bottle Rockets)."
