His works have a spellbinding, rhythmic vitality - a great variety of sound pursued by using innovative playing techniques (even a saw drawn across a suspended cybal) on Caribbean and African instruments as well as on found objects. Is this intellectual music? No way, there's a strong influence from jazz and pop music in it.
