Synopsis

Product Description
MF Grimm (aka Percy Carey, GM Grimm and Superstar Jet Jaquar) first turned up on
KMD s What a Nigga Know (Remix) on Elektra in 1994, and followed that with features
on Kool G Rap s 4,5,6 album on Sony in 1995 and MF Doom s Operation Doomsday on
Subverse in 1999, along with and a number of indie releases, before self-releasing his
debut entitled The Downfall of Ibliys: A Ghetto Opera in 2002. Backed by an A-list of backpack
producers: Cas (Readyrock), DJ Eli (Fat Beats), DJ Rob (Ground Original), MF
DOOM (Metalface), J-Zone (Old Maid) and others.
Reportedly recorded in a 24-hour period while out on bail for drug charges, this full length
stands up solidly against other releases of the day, Company Flow, Juggaknots, anything
on Fondle Em, X-Ecutioners, all that New York backpack boom-bap that gave a post
Public Enemy nation of millions something to bump. Originally released on Day By Day
Entertainment and out of print for years, this is the official reissue.
